Founded in March 2016, Linx Buddies Association (also called Linx Tennis) is a non-profit social organization aimed at supporting young tennis athletes and their families with a common platform for training partnership, social networking and leadership development. Headquartered in Maryland, Linx Tennis has connected thousands of junior players across regions though its buddy system and helped over 500 members find their tennis buddies. By coordinating various training programs, social activities and charity events, Linx Tennis offers an opportunity with affordability and accessibility for juniors of all backgrounds to improve skills, share experience, build friendship and simply enjoy the sport.
Our Mission
OUR PLAYERS
As a social community, Linx Tennis provides a unique cross-club experience and allows players from various local tennis clubs, private coaches or training centers to train and compete with each other. Linx Tennis has more than 580 players of age 7 to 18 from over 10 training clubs and groups, such as JTCC, 4 Stars, TennisPlex, OSSA, Regency and Hong Tennis, with skills ranging from MAS Top 100 to Beginners. Linx players are evaluated and assigned into 7 different groups based on their skill levels to ensure players of similar abilities to train and play together.
OUR PROGRAMS
Linx Tennis offers skill assessment, ladder match playing, outdoor training and indoor coaching across the year. Outdoor training is free and usually runs from April till November while indoor coaching is scheduled during fall, winter and spring seasons at a reasonable price. Both outdoor and indoor training sessions focus on match playing and players have the opportunity to compete in singles/doubles matches at each session. Linx Tennis also runs tennis ladder programs during winter and spring and coordinates multiple teams to compete in various USTA JTT Leagues.
OUR COACHES
Linx Tennis coaches are all experienced professionals from local tennis clubs and training centers with a focus on skill and mental development on junior players. Other than drilling and advising, our coaches also help players adjust their strokes, identify weakness and strengths in their game, build confidence, and work on customized exercises formed on their specific needs.
OUR VOLUNTEERS
The success of Linx Tennis is dependent on our volunteers. Over 15 adult volunteers have been dedicating hours of service to facilitating and supervising the training sessions and match playing, including organizing and leading 7 USTA junior tennis teams per year. More than 10 junior volunteers have joined our 50+ program, a MAS top seed program, to promote our community, support our players, and help train them both mentally and physically.
